Privacy Policy

Effective date: July 19, 2026 · Last updated: July 19, 2026 · Version 1.0
In plain words

Savi is a place to be heard, anonymously. We collect as little as possible, your conversations are private and are not sold or used to train AI, and any closing note you write goes only to the person you were paired with. This page explains exactly what we do and don't do with your information — and the choices you have.

This Privacy Policy describes how Solace Labs LLC (“Savi,” “we,” “us”) collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the Savi mobile application and related services (the “Service”). By using Savi, you agree to the practices described here. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. Our privacy principles

2. Information we collect

Account & access. To create and secure your account we collect an authentication identifier (for example, a sign-in token from your device or email) and, where you set them, security settings such as app-lock and quick-exit preferences.

Profile & role. Your role (“Chatter” or “Listener”), your responses to the onboarding and deeper-room qualification quizzes (used to match you to spaces), and personalization choices (avatar, plant, pot, font, home scene).

Subscription status. Whether you have Savi Plus and your founding-member status. Payments are processed by Apple; we receive confirmation of your subscription but not your full payment-card details.

Conversation content. Messages you exchange during a session, and any closing note you write to the person you were matched with. See Section 3 for how these are handled.

Optional contact details. If you refer a friend, the phone number or contact you choose to invite. We use it only to send that invitation.

Device & technical data. Basic technical information needed to run and protect the Service — app version, device type and operating system, general region/locale (used to show the right crisis lines and billing currency), and diagnostic logs. We do not use third-party advertising trackers.

3. Your conversations and notes

Peer conversations are intended to be ephemeral. Messages are protected in transit and are not visible to other members outside your one-to-one conversation. If you write a closing note at the end of a conversation, it is delivered to the person you were matched with so they can read — and reply to — it after the session ends; we store it to make that delivery possible, and it is not deleted automatically. If there is no one to deliver it to, the note stays on your device only and is never sent to us.

We do not read your conversations for advertising, and we do not use conversation content to train artificial-intelligence models. Limited, access-controlled review may occur only where necessary to keep people safe (see Section 4), to investigate a report of abuse, or where required by law.

4. Safety and crisis support

Savi is peer support — it is not a crisis service, a medical or mental-health provider, or a substitute for professional or emergency care. To help keep members safe, Savi may detect certain safety-related keywords in your messages on our servers, as part of delivering the message, in order to surface relevant crisis resources (such as a local helpline). This detection is not stored as a profile of you.

If we believe there is a serious risk of harm to you or someone else, we may act on the information available to us — including surfacing crisis resources, limiting an account, or, where legally permitted and appropriate, contacting emergency services. Crisis resources shown in the app are provided by third parties; please verify current local emergency numbers.

5. The AI companion

When no human listener is available, Savi may offer an optional AI companion, clearly labeled as AI. Messages you send to the AI companion are processed to generate a response. We do not use these messages to build an advertising profile. The AI companion is not a counselor and cannot provide crisis intervention; if you are in danger, use the crisis resources in the app or contact local emergency services.

6. How we use information

7. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only in these limited situations:

8. Data retention and deletion

We keep information only as long as needed for the purposes above. Private notes are deleted on completion. You can delete your account at any time from within the app; when you do, we delete or de-identify your personal information within a reasonable period, except where we must retain limited records to meet legal, security, or safety obligations.

9. Security

We use technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit, access controls, and optional in-app protections such as app lock, screenshot limits in sensitive views, and quick exit. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your data and to respond promptly to any incident.

10. Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. You can exercise many of these directly in the app (for example, editing your profile or deleting your account), or by contacting us using the details below.

United Kingdom & European Economic Area: our legal bases for processing are performance of our contract with you, your consent (which you can withdraw), our legitimate interests in operating and securing the Service, and compliance with legal obligations. You may lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority.

United States: we do not sell or “share” personal information as those terms are defined under U.S. state privacy laws, and we will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.

11. Children

Savi is intended for adults (18 and older) and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us information, please contact us so we can remove it.

12. International users

Savi is available in several regions, including the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, and Ireland. Your information may be processed in countries other than your own, including the United States. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for such transfers. Crisis resources and billing are localized to your region.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you in the app or by other reasonable means and update the “Last updated” date above. Your continued use of Savi after an update means you accept the revised policy.
